An Article from Neena Susan Thomas

“Through a rapist’s eyes. A group of rapists and date rapists in prison were interview…ed on what they look for in a potential victim and here are some interesting facts:

1] The first thing men look for in a potential victim is hairstyle. They are most likely to go after a woman with a ponytail, bun! , braid, or other hairstyle that can easily be grabbed. They are also likely to go after a woman with long hair. Women with short hair are not common targets.

2] The second thing men look for is clothing. They will look for women who’s clothing is easy to remove quickly. Many of them carry scissors around to cut clothing.

3] They also look for women using their cell phone, searching through their purse or doing other activities while walking because they are off guard and can be easily overpowered.

4] The number one place women are abducted from / attacked at is grocery store parking lots.

5] Number two is office parking lots/garages.

6] Number three is public restrooms.

7] The thing about these men is that they are looking to grab a woman and quickly move her to a second location where they don’t have to worry about getting caught.

8] If you put up any kind of a fight at all, they get discouraged because it only takes a minute or two for them to realize that going after you isn’t worth it because it will be time-consuming.

9] These men said they would not pick on women who have umbrellas,or other similar objects that can be used from a distance, in their hands.

10] Keys are not a deterrent because you have to get really close to the attacker to use them as a weapon. So, the idea is to convince these guys you’re not worth it.

POINTS THAT WE SHOULD REMEMBER:

1] If someone is following behind you on a street or in a garage or with you in an elevator or stairwell, look them in the face and ask them a question, like what time is it, or make general small talk: can’t believe it is so cold out here, we’re in for a bad winter. Now that you’ve seen their faces and could identify them in a line- up, you lose appeal as a target.

2] If someone is coming toward you, hold out your hands in front of you and yell Stop or Stay back! Most of the rapists this man talked to said they’d leave a woman alone if she yelled or showed that she would not be afraid to fight back. Again, they are looking for an EASY target.

3] If you carry pepper spray (this instructor was a huge advocate of it and carries it with him wherever he goes,) yelling I HAVE PEPPER SPRAY and holding it out will be a deterrent.

4] If someone grabs you, you can’t beat them with strength but you can do it by outsmarting them. If you are grabbed around the waist from behind, pinch the attacker either under the arm between the elbow and armpit or in the upper inner thigh – HARD. One woman in a class this guy taught told him she used the underarm pinch on a guy who was trying to date rape her and was so upset she broke through the skin and tore out muscle strands the guy needed stitches. Try pinching yourself in those places as hard as you can stand it; it really hurts.

5] After the initial hit, always go for the groin. I know from a particularly unfortunate experience that if you slap a guy’s parts it is extremely painful. You might think that you’ll anger the guy and make him want to hurt you more, but the thing these rapists told our instructor is that they want a woman who will not cause him a lot of trouble. Start causing trouble, and he’s out of there.

6] When the guy puts his hands up to you, grab his first two fingers and bend them back as far as possible with as much pressure pushing down on them as possible. The instructor did it to me without using much pressure, and I ended up on my knees and both knuckles cracked audibly.

7] Of course the things we always hear still apply. Always be aware of your surroundings, take someone with you if you can and if you see any odd behavior, don’t dismiss it, go with your instincts. You may feel little silly at the time, but you’d feel much worse if the guy really was trouble.

FINALLY, PLEASE REMEMBER THESE AS WELL ….

1. Tip from Tae Kwon Do: The elbow is the strongest point on your body. If you are close enough to use it, do it.

2. Learned this from a tourist guide to New Orleans : if a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM. Toss it away from you…. chances are that he is more interested in your wallet and/or purse than you and he will go for the wallet/purse. RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!

3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car: Kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like crazy. The driver won’t see you but everybody else will. This has saved lives.

4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars after shopping, eating, working, etc., and just sit (doing their checkbook, or making a list, etc. DON’T DO THIS! The predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to get in on the passenger side, put a gun to your head, and tell you where to go. AS SOON AS YOU CLOSE the DOORS , LEAVE.

5. A few notes about getting into your car in a parking lot, or parking garage:

a. Be aware: look around your car as someone may be hiding at the passenger side , peek into your car, inside the passenger side floor, and in the back seat. ( DO THIS TOO BEFORE RIDING A TAXI CAB) .

b. If you are parked next to a big van, enter your car from the passenger door. Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their vans while the women are attempting to get into their cars.

c. Look at the car parked on the driver’s side of your vehicle, and the passenger side. If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to walk you back out. IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)

6. ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs. (Stairwells are horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot).

7. If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control, ALWAYS RUN! The predator will only hit you (a running target) 4 in 100 times; And even then, it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ. RUN!

8. As women, we are always trying to be sympathetic: STOP IT! It may get you raped, or killed. Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking, well educated man, who ALWAYS played on the sympathies of unsuspecting women. He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often asked “for help” into his vehicle or with his vehicle, which is when he abducted his next victim.

Send this to any woman you know that may need to be reminded that the world we live in has a lot of crazies in it and it’s better safe than sorry.

If u have compassion reblog this post.
‘Helping hands are better than Praying Lips’ – give us your helping hand.

REBLOG THIS AND LET EVERY GIRL KNOW
AT LEAST PEOPLE WILL KNOW WHATS GOING ON IN THIS WORLD.
So please reblog this….Your one reblog can Help to spread this information.

darlingzenyatta:

hi as pride month draws near for june reminder that cishet aces/aros are not LGBT and don’t belong in our spaces

And like, just a reminder that people like op are the people I don’t want to share my spaces with.

Every time I see an exclusionist on here and I click their profile they’re like 17 or 19 or maybe 21 at best.

And that’s fair- it’s not like people that age can’t have opinions or be right, they’re people.

But when I think about how long it took me to work out my own damn sexuality, gender, and all that crap, and how gently I stepped once I realised I was queer, and how much listening to people I did to see who the hell was out there…how much I am STILL learning about people who have different experiences…

…it feels really odd to see people this young being so secure in their belief of who should be excluded from the community.

Not how to support and include, to help and support, but how to exclude.

Like…being confident in your own sexuality at 19? Fuck yeah, good for you, I’m happy you had a better chance and an earlier start than I did.

But… telling other people they’re not queer enough to be in ‘your’ space?

Your space? Not mine anymore? Huh.

I’m over here at 35 still listening and learning and trying to understand everyone’s perspectives, discovering that sexuality is even more complex and nuanced than I know…and all these people barely out of their teens are talking like they know everything there is to know about being LGBT, ever. Like it’s all been written down, stamped, sealed, confirmed by some Authority.

Mmmm. No. Just… have an ounce of humility. Try gaining some perspective, please.

You haven’t lived long enough to even really listen to real life aces, to really think about what LGBT means. I don’t mean this as an ageist insult, I just really think that this kind of shit deserves TIME- hell I know it deserves time and thought because I am STILL unlearning bad assumptions and behaviours, and STILL meeting people who define themselves outside of the frame that I was once taught meant ‘LGBT’.

And you, a teen raised in a world that’s still pretty fucking homophobic and doesn’t recognise half of what the LGBT community itself has taken years to acknowledge, you think you know it all?

Because you’re online?

While you’re here, read some posts where ace people talk about how they’re treated. Forget semantics for a while: read the experiences.

I’m online too, I have been for some time. Doesn’t make me right, but experience is of some value. Experience in listening to queer people who aren’t quite like me, that is, in trying to understand how I am similar, instead of trying to figure out how they do not belong. In how people rework things, figure out how they can be less harmful, more inclusive, more representative of all those who are marginalised.

See, Q is queer but also often Questioning. It’s still important to let people be Questioning, there is an astounding amount of queerphobia in the world and we are NOT done working out the labels. We may never be.

Not so long ago, the T in lgbt was under question. Bisexuals are still being excluded.

So I’m being told I don’t matter by people who weren’t even born yet when I realised I wasn’t straight. They’re skipping right over all the reflection and going straight to self-affirmation by exclusion.

Which, again- if you are born into a world where you never have to question your identity, oh good grief I hope that’s real for everyone some day.

But we’re not there yet, yanno? And I resent being told that after all these years of soul-searching and careful, very careful questioning of whether I belong and how I can be a good member of the community, people arrive so 100% certain of their claim to being LGBT that the first thing they do is try to kick others out.

tl;dr I was here first and I’m not amused.

My general feeling when These Kids start yelling about who does or doesn’t Belong in the collection of the broken, hurt and strange that is the queer community:

Pride month is an especially shitty time to tell queer people that they’re not queer enough and that they’re not welcome.

I’d like to take this opportunity to invite any exclusionists following me to kindly eff off (and also unfollow me while you’re at it :) Happy Pride!

adornedwithlyrium:

on tonights news: asexual or aromantic folks, while not having some of the same experiences as other lgbt groups, still deserve to be able to find safety in our community because they go through enough shit from people who youd think would understand their struggles and empathize………. more at 10

also no group in the community has the same experiences of the other groups. lesbians don’t have the same experiences as gay men. bisexual people don’t have the same experiences as lesbians or gay men. transgender people don’t have the same experiences as bisexual people. if we’re gonna base it on 100% shared experiences then our community wouldn’t have this many groups, which I know is what the white gays want but that’s not actually what our community is about

not only that, but not all gay men have the same experiences. neither do all lesbians, trans people, bi folks, and yes ace and aro spec folks. people who share the same sexual or romantic orientations or gender identities have shared or similar experiences, but they aren’t monolithic groups. for example, a gay man who grew up in an accepting and open-minded family is not at the same sort of risk as one who grew up with parents that rejected him; that doesn’t mean that both men don’t experience homophobia, but they likely experience it very differently! it’s also why it’s useless to argue about which identity group has it “worse” or is “more oppressed” when people within groups have very different experiences, which result from the intersection of class, race, ethnicity, ability, etc. this is one of the key ideas of intersectionality: one that seems to elude many REGs/TERFs.

The idea of a unified experience or “socialization” is impossible, and this is perhaps the greatest weakness in REGs and TERFs arguments.

spikesjojo:

Open a bank account or get a credit card without signed permission from her father or hr husband.

Serve on a jury - because it might inconvenience the family not to have the woman at home being her husband’s helpmate.

Obtain any form of birth control without her husband’s permission. You had to be married, and your hub and had to agree to postpone having children.

Get an Ivy League education.
Ivy League schools were men’s colleges ntil the 70′s and 80′s. When
they opened their doors to women it was agree that women went there for
their MRS. Degee.

Experience equality in the workplace: Kennedy’s
Commission on the Status of Women produced a report in 1963 that
revealed, among other things, that women earned 59 cents for every
dollar that men earned and were kept out of the more lucrative
professional positions.

Keep her job if she was pregnant.Until the Pregnancy Discrimination Act in 1978, women were regularly fired from their workplace for being pregnant.

Refuse to have sex with her husband. The mid 70s saw most states recognize marital rape and in 1993 it became criminalized
in all 50 states. Nevertheless, marital rape is still often treated
differently to other forms of rape in some states even today.

Get a divorce with some degree of ease. Before the No Fault Divorce
law in 1969, spouses had to show the faults of the other party, such as
adultery, and could easily be overturned by recrimination.

Have a legal abortion in most states. The Roe v. Wade case in 1973 protected a woman’s right to abortion until viability.

Take legal action against workplace sexual harassment.

According to The Week, the first time a court recognized office sexual harassment as grounds for legal action was in 1977.

Play college sports
Title IX of the Education
Amendments of protects people from discrimination based
on sex in education programs or activities that receive Federal
financial assistance

It was nt until this statute that colleges had teams for women’s sports

Apply for men’s Jobs
The EEOC rules that
sex-segregated help wanted ads in newspapers are illegal. This ruling
is upheld in 1973 by the Supreme Court, opening the way for women to
apply for higher-paying jobs hitherto open only to men.

This is why we needed feminism - this is why we know that feminism works

I just want to reiterate this stuff, because I legit get the feeling there are a lot of younger women for whom it hasn’t really sunk in what it is today’s GOP is actively trying to return to.

Did you go to a good college? Shame on you, you took a college placement that could have gone to a man who deserves and needs it to support or prepare for his wife & children. But if you really must attend college, well, some men like that, you can still get married if you focus on finding the right man.

Got a job? Why? A man could be doing that job. You should be at home caring for a family. You shouldn’t be taking that job away from a man who needs it (see college, above). You definitely don’t have a career – you’ll be pregnant and raising children soon, so no need to worry about promoting you.

This shit was within living memory.

I’M A MILLENIAL and my mother was in the second class that allowed women at an Ivy League school.

Men who are alive today either personally remember shit like this or have parents/family who have raised them into thinking this was the way America functioned back in the blissful Good Old Days. There are literally dudes in the GOP old enough to remember when it was like this and yearn for those days to return.

When people talk about resisting conservativism and the GOP, we’re not just talking about whether the wage gap is a myth or not. We’re talking about whether women even have the fundamental right to exist as individuals, to run their own households and compete for jobs and be considered on an equal footing with men in any arena at all in the first place.

I was a child in the 1960s, a teenager in the 1970s, a young adult in the 1980s.
This is what it was like:

When I was growing up, it was considered unfortunate if a girl was good at sports. Girls were not allowed in Little League. Girls’ teams didn’t exist in high school, except at all-girls’ high schools. Boys played sports, and girls were the cheerleaders.

People used to ask me as a child what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said I wanted to be a brain surgeon or the first woman justice on the Supreme Court. Everyone told me it was impossible–those just weren’t realistic goals for a girl–the latter, especially, because you couldn’t trust women to judge fairly and rationally, after all.

In the 1960s and 1970s, all women were identified by their marital status, even in arrest reports and obituaries. In elementary school, my science teacher referred to Pierre Curie as DOCTOR Curie and Marie Curie as MRS. Curie…because, as he put it, “she was just his wife.” (Both had doctorates and both were Nobel prize winners, so you would think that both would be accorded respect.)

Companies could and did require women to wear dresses and skirts. Failure to do could and did get women fired. And it was legal. It was also legal to fire women for getting married or getting pregnant. The rationale was that a woman who was married or who had a child had no business working; that was what her husband was for. Aetna Insurance, the biggest insurance company in America, fired women for all of the above.

A man could rape his wife. Legally. I can remember being twelve years old and reading about legal experts actually debating whether or not a man could actually be said to coerce his wife into having sex. This was a serious debate in 1974.

The debate about marital rape came up in my law school, too, in 1984. Could a woman be raped by her husband? The guys all said no–a woman got married, so she was consenting to sex at all times. So I turned it around. I asked them if, since a man had gotten married, that meant that his wife could shove a dildo or a stick or something up his ass any time she wanted to for HER sexual pleasure.

(Hey, I thought it was reasonable. If one gender was legally entitled to force sex on the other, then obviously the reverse should also be true.)

The male law students didn’t like the idea. Interestingly, they commented that being treated like that would make them feel like a woman.

My reaction was, “Thank you for proving my point…”

The concept of date rape, when first proposed, was considered laughable. If a woman went out on a date, the argument of legal experts ran, sexual consent was implied. Even more sickening was the fact that in some states–even in the early 1980s–a man could rape his daughter…and it was no worse than a misdemeanor.

Women taking self-defense classes in the 1970s and 1980s were frequently described in books and on TV as “cute.” The implication was that it was absurd for a woman to attempt to defend herself, but wasn’t it just adorable for her to try?

I was expressly forbidden to take computer classes in junior and senior years of high school–1978-79 and 1979-80–because, as the principal told me, “Only boys have to know that kind of thing. You girls are going to get married, and you won’t use it.”

When I was in college–from 1980 to 1984–there were no womens’ studies. The idea hadn’t occurred in many places because the presumption was that there was nothing TO study. My history professor–a man who had a doctorate in history–informed me quite seriously that women had never produced a noted painter, sculptor, composer, architect or scientist because…wait for it…womens’ brains were too small.

(He was very surprised when I came up with a list of fifty women gifted in the arts and science, most of whom he had never heard of before.)

When Walter Mondale picked Geraldine Ferraro as a running mate in 1984, the press hailed it as a disaster. What would happen, they asked fearfully, if Mondale died and Ferraro became president? What if an international crisis arose and she was menstruating? She could push the nuclear button in a fit of PMS! It would be the end of the WORLD!!

…No, they WEREN’T kidding.

On the surface, things are very different now than they were when I was a child, a teen and a young adult. But I’m afraid that people now do not realize what it was like then. I’ve read a lot of posts from young women who say that they are not feminists. If the only exposure to feminism they have is the work of extremists, I cannot blame them overmuch.

I wish that I could tell them what feminism was like when it was new–when the dream of legal equality was just a dream, and hadn’t even begun to come true. When “woman’s work” was a sneer–and an overt putdown. When people tut-tutted over bright and athletic girls with the words, “Really, it’s a shame she’s not a boy.” That lack of feminism wasn’t all men opening doors and picking up checks. A lot of it was an attitude of patronizing contempt that hasn’t entirely died out, but which has become less publicly acceptable.

I wish I could make them feel what it was like…when grown men were called “men” and grown women were “girls.”

Know your history.

So this, too, is what they mean saying “make America great again” and/or the good old days.

REBLOG FOREVER.

reblorever.

This portmanteau was created from phrase ‘reblog forever’. Beep-boop. Portmanteau^bot^1

I have never slammed the reblog button harder in my LIFE, because I, too, grew up during the birth of the equal rights movement.

And I will point out that, nearly fifty years later, we STILL do not have an Equal Rights Amendment.

I also want to mention that the majority of men’s prevailing misogynistic attitudes - even now - can be laid at the feet of organized religions, the majority of which are male dominated institutions that have made the subjugation of women their mission since organized religion was invented.

When I started junior high, my mother had to march into the guidance counselor’s office and insist that I be enrolled in the industrial arts classes instead of home economics. I was one of two girls in shop class that year. It wasn’t that long ago.

The idea that women aren’t really people isn’t new, and yet it still catches us by surprise sometimes, having grown used to the idea of being people by, you know, the fact of being people.

When I was in high school (1972-75), girls were required to take home ec and boys were required to take shop. My ninth-grade science teacher laughed when I suggested that the rigors of childbirth indicated that women are physically durable. He encouraged all the boys in the class to laugh at me as well.

In 1974, my friend J. got pregnant. She went with her boyfriend, W., to have an abortion, and I remember how relieved we all were – for both of them, but of course especially for her. A year after Roe.

It makes me sick and angry to listen to young women disavow feminism. They have no fucking idea what feminism has done for them – what shit we went through, fighting for women to be recognized as complete and autonomous persons.

Although I am young, I see why I need feminism. I was in a computer science course this year and I was the only girl in a class of 30. The guys would make snide comments about my pens or me taking notes during class. Jokes on them, I got the highest score in the class cause I was sick and tired of being treated lesser than them because I happened to be of the other gender.

I started following this girl and her whole dash ended up these. And her last post. I can’t even say words. Anons took her life. If that okay with you, then carry on with your day. If you agree this is unacceptable and okay, then reblog and spread the word. What you say can actually change a persons life! So help out

I don’t care if this makes your dash look ‘ugly’, no matter what type of blog you have you should reblog it.

If you can’t reblog this, I pity you as a human being.

;~;

This is sickening. This is why I fuckin hate most anons. Most are just pure assholes. Bullies. But I realized something. They only hate on others cause their life is miserable. So they make others miserable to try and be happy. They need something to vent their pain on

No…..I will always Reblog this….This just isn’t right

if you don’t reblog shame on you..

So honestly think twice, and even actually think way moooooore than twice before sending anon hate and ending up being a cyber murderer…

Okay, I never reblog things, but this? people have no excuse to be treating others like that, nothing can justify your terrible actions, you horrible people, I feel so mad at those assholes.. I mean come on! The world would be a better place if you kept your shitty opinions for you, it’s not my fault if you’re an asshole but at least you could keep it for yourself instead of making the world an ugly place….

reblog this. reblog.right.NOW

Please don’t take your life because some anonymous asshole told you that you were ugly. The reason they had to stay anonymous is because they are scared of you.

Is there any way for tumblr to find the people behind all these anons????? They could be complicit in a murder! Charge them!

Just… Wow.

This is such a sad way to remind us how fatal the words can be..

If you have EVER EVER done this to someone I want you the fuck off my blog and the fuck off this site, because there is no place for you in this fucking world, and there is certainly no place for you here

You know all those people who said she ugly ARE the ugly one. Inside and outside. There also murdermers. They deserve to die in hell in the most horrible way and I wish they will die in the most horrible way in the world. And I’m sure the poor girl was beautiful and an amazing person. So you now what

FUCK YOU ANONS!!

always reblog

Congratulations anons, you just took away a families life having their baby die. How? Everyone is crushed that their child has gotten bullied and because of it they’re not living anymore. That person could have helped you so much in the future but you threw away that chance! You have invented a new kind of stupid a damage you can never undo kid of stupid an open all the cages at the zoo kinda stupid! Truly you didn’t thing it through kind of stupid

Please reblog this. This is very important.

Omg my god…

I never have one of this but I do pity that user…I hope they feel well.

“If you do this your dead to me”

the privilege of anonymity has just proven how disgusting people can be when they think they don’t have any consequences for saying things like this. In all honestly I’m not a vengeful person but whenever I see some hot shot little sh*t with the anon mask telling someone to kill themselves and other lovely messages I’d love nothing more than to reach through the screen and break their nose with a white hot iron…

Wow.. It’s crazy to see how cynical and heartless people really are in the world. That these people actually exist, it’s not all in movies and shows.

Shame on you if you think this behaviour is okay, or if you stand by and ignore this kind of thing. No one deserves that kind of treatment besides the people giving the treatment. I dont think anyone deserves to die, but people really need to be adjusted for their actions in the most appropriate way possible.

I have gotten similar treatment from.. somebody who is younger than me yet found a way to make me feel guilty, even though I did nothing wrong. It definitely wasn’t THIS severe, but I know I was stuck in a period along these lines before. And it still bothers me to this day.. And if her actions were able to give me a PTS situation, this definitely can as well.

I hope, if there’s not already, a way on Tumblr where you can deface the anons behind them and get them banned or arrested for harrassment or even worse, murder.

If you don’t want to reblog this, that’s fine. But at least show it to somebody. Get the word around somehow.

And don’t let these dumbasses get to you. They’re doing this because they think they have nothing better to do. Talk to someone about it, delete the anon messages, and try to go on with your life. If its getting to be too much, call for help immediately.

Sorry for this huge rant, I just really needed to say that. I know it’s really large compared to everyone else’s responses, but it’s my way of addressing things.

This breaks my heart. What kind of sick person can continue on with their day with a clear, happy conscious knowing they encouraged someone to end their life? It’s disgusting behavior. There really should be some way to bring the law into these situations because these people are actually encouraging suicide. If you ever receive messages like this please PLEASE delete your account that is receiving the messages and go talk to someone you trust about it. Nobody deserves this treatment.

Damn anon harassment and damn anyone who sends it.

Tumblr’s at it again, thanks to the new European Privacy Laws. There’s probably nobody who will read this, but it pissed me off so much that I decided to make a post about it. (Ignore the weird language mish-mash, depending on your country the language might differ.)

OK, so many of us get this screen when we try to access our dash:

Realise how the ‘OK’ button is a nice, attention-grabbing blue? If you’re like me, you’re not exactly into reading a 100 pages document and tend to just click it.

My tip? DONT. Instead click on ‘Manage Options’ right next to it:

Now you’ll see this page:

Still pretty harmless, right? That ‘Accept’ button is looking really attractive right now. Instead, click on Verwalten (Probably something like ‘Manage Options’ or something in english) and you’ll get to this page:

Now that’s not too bad, right? I just switched all the buttons to ‘off’, because I’m jealously guarding my personal information and don’t want Tumblr to go off and do who knows what with it. Looks like we’re done! But wait: There’s a SHOW option.

When we click on that one, what we will get is this:

A HUGE list with OVER 300 ENTRIES of companies that can use your data by default if you’d just clicked ‘OK’ on that very first page. Coincidence that this list is hidden that much? Me thinks not. They’re all switched on by default, but I am still a petty bitch that doesn’t want to give out her data, so I switched them all off. All 300+ of them. There is no option to switch them all off at once, and even if you disable all the options above, the companies are still switched on.

(If you wonder how i got that number, I copied the list into excel and looked at the cell number. No way am I actually counting all those entries)

I too, am a petty bitch who unticked every single one.

wooooooowwww thank you Europe

!!!!!!!!!If you already clicked “OK”, go to your Settings > Privacy > disable the cookie consent and re-enable it, it’ll take you to the beginning of this !!!!!

Good ole EU. But yeah, unselecting them all, one by one, was a pain.

Protip, it goes slightly faster if you unselect the first one, then hit Tab, Tab, Space - that’ll unselect the next one. And so on down the line. Slightly faster than using the mouse, at least for me!

ceasarslegion:

Reporter in the Marvel unviverse: Anthony Stark, well-known as a generous philanthropist, the CEO of Stark Industries, and his alter-ego “Iron Man,” under fire today after a controversial video he posted to his personal Vine account went viral. The short footage showed Stark in the passenger seat of a car, driving by an anti-homosexual rally, repeatedly shouting “I love sucking [expletive for male genitalia]” out of the open window.

A+ Concept, I love it, I’m dying, it’s too good.

It becomes the hottest new meme throughout the US. Every single time there’s some homophobic rally, Hell, every time there’s a rally held by homophobes whether or not the rally was ABOUT homophobia there’s now teens doing drive-by’s being like “Ahem, this one is for Tony Stark - I LOVE SUCKING [expletive for male genitalia]”. The meme keeps escalating as people find newer and funnier ways to bleep out what they are saying in real time and on Vine. The most popular way? The sound of a repulser charging up.

The whole thing drives homophobes crazy. They hate it so much, it literally has some people trying to create their own counter meme (”I love sucking UP TO JESUS”) that goes very very badly (exactly how you’d expect). So, out of options, they try to sue Tony.

Everybody should know better than to sue Tony.

His lawyers tear them apart. There’s an unholy grin on Tony’s face during the entire publicized case - he’s in a rainbow suit. He’s in rainbow shades. He’s wearing a harness over his suit and his shoes literally leave glitter footprints everywhere he goes. His tie says “I love sucking [REPULSER NOISE]”. Twitter goes nuts. A still of Tony from the trial, one where he is sarcastically blowing pink glitter into the face of a woman trying to hit him with a picket sign, becomes a reaction image nobody can resist. You wanna represent how tired you are of homophobic comments? That’s your image. It’s usually coupled by one of Rhodey in the background, military dress uniform smeared in glitter and a blatant glittery kiss mark pressed to his cheek, staring at the ceiling and praying for death.

Listen this is the best addition to my post and im both writing this into a fic and drawing fan art for it @purgatoryandme

Well… sure, Rhodey pretends he’s praying for death in public, but just who do you think was in the driver’s seat in the first place

who do you think deliberately chose to drive past that rally in the first place

(remember: Rhodey hates Tony’s self-destructive bullshit, and his selfish inconsiderate bullshit, but his snarky prankster bullshit? he not only loves it, he facilitates it.)
